SUMMARY:43rd Annual Rotary Health Fair
DESCRIPTION:The 43rd Annual Rotary Health Fair\, hosted by the Homer Kachemak Bay Rotary Club in cooperation with South Peninsula Hospital\, will be held on Saturday\, October 10\, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Homer High School. Admission is free and open to the public. \nThe Rotary Health Fair provides a welcoming\, informative environment for all ages\, offering tools and knowledge to help community members live well. The event is free and open to the public\, with food and coffee vendors available on site for purchase. All visitors to the fair can enter to win door prizes of great value\, ranging from gift certificates to local vendors to valuable health products. More than 40 exhibitors will offer free screenings\, interactive demos\, and valuable information on a wide range of health topics. \nHighlights include: \n\nDeeply discounted lab draws (appointments and walk-ins)\nFlu shots\nFree medical consults\nBlood pressure screenings\nVision screenings\nDemos and try out recovery PT equipment\nBiometric scale analysis\nLife jacket fittings\nSign up for boating safety classes and vessel safety checks\nHeart and brain imaging; see AI technology at work for accurate diagnostics\nMeet end-of-life doulas\nLight therapy and stem cell activation demos\nAssistive technology tools (magnification\, amplification\, etc for those with disabilities to navigate daily challenges)\n\nIn addition to screenings and demos\, attendees can access information on mental health\, reproductive and women’s health\, nutrition\, smoking cessation\, healthy aging\, and more.
